Close har\u00admo\u00adny vocals rem\u00adi\u00adnis\u00adcent of Simon <span class=\"amp\">&amp;<\/span> Gar\u00adfun\u00adkle are com\u00adbined with superb gui\u00adtar play\u00ading and judi\u00adcious\u00adly used bits of wood\u00adwind (I think there\u2019s a flugel\u00adhorn in there) and elec\u00adtron\u00adics. The lyrics are real poet\u00adry. <span class=\"caps\">DCLC<\/span> are list\u00aded as \u201cexper\u00adi\u00admen\u00adtal, folk, lounge\u201d, which I sup\u00adpose is fair enough, but is inad\u00ade\u00adquate to express the num\u00adber of nodes they con\u00adnect to. Every song on the album, from the first, \u201cJeal\u00adous Ene\u00admies\u201d, to the last, \u201cMir\u00ada\u00adcle Kick\u00ader\u201d shows an extra\u00ador\u00addi\u00adnary crafts\u00adman\u00adship, get\u00adting every lit\u00adtle detail just right. \u201cRobot Com\u00admand Cen\u00adtre\u201d and the pro\u00adfound\u00adly orig\u00adi\u00adnal \u201cSpon\u00adta\u00adneous Com\u00adbus\u00adtion Pact\u201d in par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar had an emo\u00adtion\u00adal impact on me. This is intel\u00adli\u00adgent&nbsp;music.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Dark Cap\u00adtain Light Cap\u00adtain is a Lon\u00addon-based band cur\u00adrent\u00adly tour\u00ading the boonies in the U.K. \u2014and I eager\u00adly antic\u00adi\u00adpate them break\u00ading out inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal\u00adly so they can show up here.
