It has been won\u00adder\u00adful to see the pub\u00adlic protests against the 1936 Berlin Olympics soon to be held in Bei\u00adjing. For once, an instinc\u00adtive revul\u00adsion against total\u00adi\u00adtar\u00adi\u00adan\u00adism is dri\u00adving a glob\u00adal move\u00adment of protest. But every legit\u00adi\u00admate protest move\u00adment attracts slimy ele\u00adments, who seek to cash in on a human rights issue to cov\u00ader up their anti-human-rights agen\u00adda. Both the Civ\u00adil Rights move\u00adment and the Anti-War move\u00adments in the 1950s and 1960s were infil\u00adtrat\u00aded by total\u00adi\u00adtar\u00adi\u00adans, seek\u00ading to exploit a just cause for their own nefar\u00adi\u00adous purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, the fifth col\u00adumn is Con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive. I find it absolute\u00adly hilar\u00adi\u00adous that many Con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive colum\u00adnists in the Unit\u00aded States and Cana\u00adda have been going through a cri\u00adsis of con\u00adscience about the protests against repres\u00adsion in Chi\u00adna and Tibet. Their instincts, when\u00adev\u00ader they see young pro\u00adtest\u00aders in the streets, oppos\u00ading big pow\u00ader, is to call out the tanks and roll over them. But their own tra\u00addi\u00adtion\u00adal rhetoric has paint\u00aded them into a cor\u00adner. Most of them have man\u00adaged, by the most bizarre con\u00adtor\u00adtion, to blame the repres\u00adsion prac\u00adticed by their Com\u00admu\u00adnist bud\u00addies on \u201cLib\u00ader\u00adal\u00adism\u201d !<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s look at the record:<\/span>
\n It is Con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtives<\/em> who con\u00adsis\u00adtent\u00adly pro\u00admot\u00aded the doc\u00adtrine of \u201cengage\u00adment\u201d with the Com\u00admu\u00adnist Par\u00adty in Bei\u00adjing, start\u00ading with Richard M. Nixon kiss\u00ading Mao\u2019s bum, and con\u00adtin\u00adu\u00ading through Rea\u00adgan\u2019s rush to clink cham\u00adpagne glass\u00ades with Deng after the Tien\u00adan\u00admen Square massacre.<\/span>
\n It is Con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtives<\/em> who have uni\u00adver\u00adsal\u00adly claimed that human rights and democ\u00adra\u00adcy are of no impor\u00adtance, as long as glob\u00adal cor\u00adpo\u00adra\u00adtions can make mon\u00adey off of slave labor.<\/span>
\n It is Con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtives<\/em> who have con\u00adsis\u00adtent\u00adly pro\u00admot\u00aded the lie that Chi\u00adna is \u201cno longer Com\u00admu\u00adnist\u201d, vir\u00adtu\u00adal\u00adly wip\u00ading the term \u201cCom\u00admu\u00adnist Chi\u00adna\u201d out of exis\u00adtence. It is non\u00adsense. Bei\u00adjing\u2019s dic\u00adta\u00adtor\u00adship is not one mol\u00ade\u00adcule less Com\u00admu\u00adnist than it has ever been, But it is a hell of a lot richer.<\/span>
\n It is Con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtives<\/em> who have con\u00adsis\u00adtent\u00adly done every\u00adthing in their pow\u00ader to pro\u00adtect Com\u00admu\u00adnist dic\u00adta\u00adtor\u00adship in Chi\u00adna, and keep its geron\u00adtoc\u00adra\u00adcy of mass-mur\u00adder\u00aders and slave-traders wealthy and happy.<\/span>

\n It is Con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtives<\/em> who have tried to rede\u00adfine a \u201cfree mar\u00adket\u201d so that free\u00addom plays no role in it, and it now means \u201cany\u00adthing the Com\u00admu\u00adnist Par\u00adty does\u201d.<\/span>
\n It is Con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtives<\/em> who have done every\u00adthing in their pow\u00ader to hand over Amer\u00adi\u00adca\u2019s (and Canada\u2019s) wealth to the Com\u00admu\u00adnist Par\u00adty in Bei\u00adjing, and to deflect atten\u00adtion from the tremen\u00addous dan\u00adger this pos\u00ades to free\u00addom every\u00adwhere on the globe.<\/span>
\n It is Con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtives<\/em> who have con\u00adsis\u00adtent\u00adly pro\u00admot\u00aded Com\u00admu\u00adnist val\u00adues: ant-like con\u00adfor\u00admi\u00adty, state secre\u00adcy, cen\u00adsor\u00adship, oppres\u00adsion of women, auto\u00adcrat\u00adic rule, per\u00adse\u00adcu\u00adtion of gays; racism, mil\u00adi\u00adtary adven\u00adtures, sex\u00adu\u00adal repres\u00adsion, arbi\u00adtrary arrest and impris\u00adon\u00adment, abo\u00adli\u00adtion of due process, con\u00adcen\u00adtra\u00adtion camps, tor\u00adture, a con\u00adtin\u00adu\u00adous assault on indi\u00advid\u00adual free\u00addom. These are all essen\u00adtial and innate ele\u00adments of Com\u00admu\u00adnism, which is the most extreme form of ultra-con\u00adser\u00advatism. Con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtives have con\u00adsis\u00adtent\u00adly advo\u00adcat\u00aded these Com\u00admu\u00adnist ideas. Guan\u00adtanamo Bay and \u201cwater\u00adboard\u00ading\u201d are Com\u00admu\u00adnism in its purest form.<\/span><\/p>\n
