Unknown until 1890, when it was visu\u00adal\u00adly iden\u00adti\u00adfied from the peak of Mt. St. Elias, it was first climbed in 1925 by the Alpine Club of Cana\u00adda. The trek to the moun\u00adtain and the ascent took 65 days.
