It at least explodes the sil\u00adli\u00adest inter\u00adpre\u00adta\u00adtions, put for\u00adward by Marx\u00adists under the Ceauces\u00adcu regime, that seem to have found their way into many sec\u00adondary sources. Vlad seems to have been a per\u00adfectly ordi\u00adnary lit\u00adtle gang\u00adster, com\u00admit\u00adting plen\u00adty of atroc\u00adi\u00adties, but not much dif\u00adfer\u00adent in style and moti\u00adva\u00adtion from those of oth\u00ader thugs rul\u00ading prin\u00adci\u00adpal\u00adi\u00adties. Com\u00adpared to the colos\u00adsal out\u00adrages of the reli\u00adgious wars that tore Ger\u00admany apart, soon after, it was all small potatoes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">While Vlad enjoyed tor\u00adtur\u00ading peo\u00adple and impal\u00ading them, he was no more vicious than, say, the Ref\u00ador\u00adma\u00adtion the\u00adolo\u00adgian John Calvin, who enjoyed tor\u00adtur\u00ading peo\u00adple by slow\u00adly roast\u00ading them on a spit while their heads were soaked with cold water to pro\u00adlong the agony .\u2026 a tor\u00adture that he once con\u00addemned two chil\u00addren to.
