The char\u00adac\u00adters spout ridicu\u00adlous speech\u00ades, espous\u00ading mod\u00adern sen\u00adti\u00adments, which would be high\u00adly improb\u00ada\u00adble com\u00ading out of the mouths of twelfth-cen\u00adtu\u00adry peo\u00adple. But who cares? The bat\u00adtle sequences at the end are mag\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcent. Medieval siege tech\u00adniques, with rolling siege tow\u00aders and tre\u00adbuchets, were every bit as spec\u00adtac\u00adu\u00adlar as mod\u00adern attacks with smart bombs and mis\u00adsiles. Visu\u00adally, the his\u00adtor\u00adi\u00adcal detail seems fair\u00adly accu\u00adrate to me. Rid\u00addley Scott always does some\u00adthing worth look\u00ading at, even if he some\u00adtimes has struc\u00adtural prob\u00adlems in sto\u00adry-telling.
