But some of his work that sur\u00advives indi\u00adcates that he was very good. I have only five short pieces, record\u00aded by the Gul\u00adbenkian Foun\u00adda\u00adtion choir on their <em>Por\u00adtu\u00adgaliae Musi\u00adca series<\/em>. All are poly\u00adphonic pieces, four of them for four voic\u00ades, one for a dou\u00adble choir of 3 and 4 parts each. The most beau\u00adti\u00adful is the <em>Jesu redemp\u00adtor<\/em>, which is a litany for the dead, pray\u00ading for Christ to accept the soul of the depart\u00aded, and per\u00adhaps sung dur\u00ading the cort\u00e8ge, between the house of the deceased and the church.
