It is loved by all who aspire not to be Ed Wood, and gives a shiv\u00ader to those of us who come fright\u00aden\u00ading\u00adly close to being<\/em> Ed Wood. It com\u00adbines the inabil\u00adi\u00adty to mas\u00adter the most ele\u00admen\u00adtary film tech\u00adniques with a sur\u00adre\u00adal\u00adis\u00adtic man\u00adgling of the Eng\u00adlish lan\u00adguage. Some of Wood\u2019s bizarre and hor\u00adri\u00adble phras\u00ading approach\u00ades acci\u00adden\u00adtal poetry.<\/span><\/p>\n

I had the great plea\u00adsure of show\u00ading it to a first-time view\u00ader, my good friend Isaac White. Watch\u00ading him react to the film \u2014 espe\u00adcial\u00adly the sci\u00aden\u00adtif\u00adic expla\u00adna\u00adtions \u201cthis can of gaso\u00adline, the sun, is con\u00adnect\u00aded to this rub\u00adber ball, the Earth by a line of gaso\u00adline.\u2026<\/em>\u201d \u201ca par\u00adti\u00adcle of light is com\u00adposed of many atoms<\/em>\u201d \u2014 gave me more fun than I\u2019ve had in awhile. You can only see Plan 9<\/em> for the first time once in your life. The expe\u00adri\u00adence can\u00adnot be repeat\u00aded, and you can\u00adnot be the same per\u00adson, after it has happened.<\/span><\/p>\n
