And what is most aston\u00adish\u00ading about it is that the grub\u00adby, surly, sar\u00adcas\u00adtic, and extreme\u00adly Amer\u00adi\u00adcan main char\u00adac\u00adter is played by Hugh Lau\u00adrie, who played Bertie Woost\u00ader in the <em>Jeeves and Woost\u00ader<\/em>, and many hilar\u00adi\u00adous char\u00adac\u00adters in the <em>Black\u00adad\u00adder <\/em>series. Laurie\u2019s Amer\u00adi\u00adcan voice and man\u00adner are com\u00adpletely con\u00advinc\u00ading. The series assumes the audi\u00adence has a rea\u00adson\u00adable knowl\u00adedge of med\u00adi\u00adcine and phys\u00adi\u00adol\u00adogy, and tack\u00adles hard issues with\u00adout slip\u00adping into the tire\u00adsome eva\u00adsive\u00adness that Amer\u00adi\u00adcan <span class=\"caps\">TV<\/span> shows usu\u00adally get into when faced with real prob\u00adlems. In this show, peo\u00adple decide things.
