The stunt of mov\u00ading for 800 amend\u00adments can\u00adnot accom\u00adplish any\u00adthing, and Harp\u00ader can eas\u00adi\u00adly por\u00adtray it as mere fil\u00adi\u00adbus\u00adter\u00ading to a gullible Cana\u00addi\u00adan pub\u00adlic. The items in the bill that the oppo\u00adsi\u00adtion par\u00adties have focused on are, pre\u00addictably, not the ones that mat\u00adter.&nbsp;I\u2019m most fright\u00adened by Harper\u2019s desire to build a Com\u00admu\u00adnist-style gulag of pris\u00adons \u2015 and not just because of its poten\u00adtial bonan\u00adza of waste and cor\u00adrup\u00adtion \u2015 but the oppo\u00adsi\u00adtion has bare\u00adly raised the issue.
