It is being tak\u00aden over by a glob\u00adal aris\u00adtoc\u00adra\u00adcy of bil\u00adlion\u00adaire crim\u00adi\u00adnals and hered\u00adi\u00adtary wealth, backed by a swin\u00addling sys\u00adtem of inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal finance and armies of thugs-for-hire. The Unit\u00aded States, which, despite some seri\u00adous inter\u00adnal flaws, for many gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtions pro\u00advid\u00aded some degree of demo\u00adc\u00adra\u00adt\u00adic and pro\u00adgres\u00adsive exam\u00adple, is now firm\u00adly in the hands of this glob\u00adal aris\u00adtoc\u00adra\u00adcy. Amer\u00adi\u00adcans have become so cul\u00adtur\u00adal\u00adly iso\u00adlat\u00aded that, except in a few priv\u00adiledged cir\u00adcles, they don\u2019t under\u00adstand that they no longer rule them\u00adselves. Even the tra\u00addi\u00adtion\u00adal \u201cdisident cul\u00adture\u201d in the Unit\u00aded States does not grasp this, and con\u00adtin\u00adues to fight old bat\u00adtles and old issues with\u00adin old tem\u00adplates. They still assume that Amer\u00adi\u00adcan for\u00adeign pol\u00adi\u00adcy is pur\u00adsued by Amer\u00adi\u00adcans to fur\u00adther Amer\u00adi\u00adcan interests.<\/span><\/p>\n

But this is not the case. The fun\u00adda\u00admen\u00adtal dif\u00adfer\u00adence between the evils of the times of Ronald Rea\u00adgan and Richard Nixon and the evil that emanates from the White House today is that those who rule today are not Amer\u00adi\u00adcans. The White House is not loy\u00adal to Amer\u00adi\u00adca. Amer\u00adi\u00adcans are noth\u00ading to the crowd of crim\u00adi\u00adnals behind George W. Bush. To these peo\u00adple, Amer\u00adi\u00adcans are just anoth\u00ader bunch of peas\u00adants, no more sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant to them than Iraqi peas\u00adants or Venuzue\u00adlan peas\u00adants. Their loy\u00adal\u00adty is to the new glob\u00adal gentry.<\/span><\/p>\n
