Ear\u00adli\u00ader in the evening (Aug.2), the CBC<\/span> Nation\u00adal News cov\u00adered the very issues I dis\u00adcussed in my last post\u00ading (Aug.1). I am very pleased, espe\u00adcial\u00adly because the cam\u00adera work from the ven\u00ader\u00ada\u00adble ice-break\u00ader Louis Saint-Lau\u00adrent was of fab\u00adu\u00adlous qual\u00adi\u00adty. The polit\u00adi\u00adcal issues are com\u00adplex. You can\u2019t expect peo\u00adple to care about them unless they can visu\u00adal\u00adize the vast, dan\u00adger\u00adous, and extra\u00ador\u00addi\u00adnar\u00adi\u00adly beau\u00adti\u00adful land that is at stake. <\/span><\/p>\n

Some\u00adone has a poet\u00adic soul at the CBC<\/span>. Nunavut is one of those places, like out\u00ader space, that forces even the most phleg\u00admat\u00adic per\u00adson to turn to poet\u00adry. Over a mag\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcent mon\u00adtage of images from the Pas\u00adsage, they played an old Cana\u00addi\u00adan folk by Stan Rogers:<\/span><\/p>\n
