The film is also fas\u00adci\u00adnat\u00ading from a polit\u00adi\u00adcal point of view. Amer\u00adi\u00adcans were just start\u00ading to expe\u00adri\u00adence a series of embar\u00adrass\u00ading set\u00adbacks in for\u00adeign pol\u00adi\u00adcy. They were com\u00admit\u00adted to an immoral and aston\u00adish\u00ading\u00adly stu\u00adpid pol\u00adi\u00adcy of sup\u00adport\u00ading dic\u00adta\u00adtors and betray\u00ading under\u00addogs. Every intel\u00adli\u00adgent and humane per\u00adson in the U.S. knew this. How\u00adev\u00ader, the analy\u00adsis of the pol\u00adi\u00adcy\u2019s oppo\u00adnents suf\u00adfered from some seri\u00adous flaws. The ortho\u00addoxy among crit\u00adics of Amer\u00adi\u00adcan for\u00adeign pol\u00adi\u00adcy was that peo\u00adple like Fidel Cas\u00adtro were mere\u00adly patri\u00adot\u00adic nation\u00adal lead\u00aders who were being \u201cdri\u00adven into the arms\u201d of the Sovi\u00adet Union by the fool\u00adish hos\u00adtil\u00adi\u00adty of the White House. This idea was pure non\u00adsense. Cas\u00adtro, and oth\u00ader like him, were clients of the Sovi\u00adet Union from the start, and tyrants from day one. Their adher\u00adence to the Sovi\u00adet Empire was auto\u00admat\u00adic, and dri\u00adven by the fun\u00adda\u00admen\u00adtal evil of their natures. Clever for\u00adeign pol\u00adi\u00adcy might have bought them off, or bet\u00adter yet, allowed their local vic\u00adtims to over\u00adthrow them. How\u00adev\u00ader, the U.S. State Depart\u00adment did not employ any\u00adone with either brains or prin\u00adci\u00adples. Every infan\u00adtile and cor\u00adrupt \u201cstrate\u00adgic\u201d step they took, usu\u00adal\u00adly jus\u00adti\u00adfied with smarmy plat\u00adi\u00adtudes about \u201creal\u00adism\u201d, mere\u00adly played into the hands of the Sovi\u00adets and entrenched the sovi\u00adet clients in power.<\/p>\n
