Michael Ren\u00adnie reprised his film role as the alien vis\u00adi\u00adtor Klaatu. Jean Peters per\u00adformed the role tak\u00aden by the husky-voiced Patri\u00adcia Neal. From the voice, it sounds to me like Bil\u00adly Gray also reprised his role from the film, as the curi\u00adous young boy Bob\u00adby. His per\u00adfor\u00admance was crit\u00adi\u00adcal to the film\u2019s effec\u00adtive\u00adness, but this is sel\u00addom acknowl\u00adedged. Gray went on to a sol\u00adid film career as a sup\u00adport\u00ading play\u00ader, and some suc\u00adcess as a speed\u00adway motor\u00adcy\u00adcle rac\u00ader and the inven\u00adtor of the F\u20111 gui\u00adtar pick. The radio adap\u00adta\u00adtion kept close to the film script, mere\u00adly tweak\u00ading the lines when visu\u00adal ele\u00adments had to be evoked. Ren\u00adnie sound\u00aded a lit\u00adtle tired, but on the whole, it was a fine trans\u00adla\u00adtion of the film into a dif\u00adfer\u00adent medium.<\/span><\/p>\n
