In my coun­try, Cana­da, democ­ra­cy is not an “aspi­ra­tion” and it is not an “exper­i­ment. ” It is a real­i­ty. I have worked at polling sta­tions in two Cana­di­an elec­tions, and I know it first-hand. I also know exact­ly what would hap­pen if a gang of trea­so­nous armed ter­ror­ists forced their way into Canada’s Par­lia­ment in an attempt to over­throw that democ­ra­cy. They would either sur­ren­der instant­ly and be cart­ed off to jail, or THEY WOULD QUICKLY BECOME DEAD. That is pre­cise­ly what hap­pened to a lone ter­ror­ist who attempt­ed that crime in 2014. Canada’s Par­lia­ment has a force of reg­u­lar secu­ri­ty guards, but the RCMP are always ready to hand. RCMP offi­cers are not just police —– they are trained to the stan­dards of any mil­i­tary strike force. They would not let any gang of ter­ror­ists des­e­crate the seat of gov­ern­ment for more than a few sec­onds, and they would not stand around tak­ing self­ies with terrorists. 

A mes­sage to my Amer­i­can friends: I real­ize that the major­i­ty of Amer­i­cans are decent human beings, and patri­ots. The recent elec­tion has demon­strat­ed that. But no sup­port­er of Don­ald Trump is either a decent human being or a patri­ot. Every sin­gle one of them has betrayed their coun­try and declared them­selves an ene­my of Amer­i­ca. They should be treat­ed as such by all true Amer­i­cans. Trump­ism is an un-Amer­i­can, trea­so­nous ide­ol­o­gy incor­po­rat­ing every evil of Fas­cism, Com­mu­nism, Nazism and Theo­crat­ic Sta­tism. I have said this unflinch­ing­ly and con­sis­tent­ly since before Don­ald Trump was installed in office against the will of the Amer­i­can peo­ple by the prim­i­tive and archa­ic elec­toral col­lege. A life­time of study­ing the his­to­ry of dic­ta­tor­ships and obscene­ly evil ide­o­log­i­cal sys­tems left me in no doubt of this at any time. It must be remem­bered that EVERY sup­port­er of Don­ald Trump is a com­plic­it cheer­leader for the heinous crime of kid­nap­ping and tor­tur­ing small chil­dren, as well as for the trea­so­nous acts of Don­ald J. Trump and the Repub­li­can Party. 

But, as a Cana­di­an, I will speak direct­ly to any Trump Sup­port­er: Trai­tor to your own coun­try, you are not wel­come in mine. Cana­da has always been Amer­i­ca’s friend and ally. As a sup­port­er of Don­ald Trump, who is a work­ing agent for the ene­mies of both the Unit­ed States and Cana­da (and of every civ­i­lized nation), you are a men­ace to my coun­try as well. You are, in fact, an ene­my of human­i­ty, an ene­my of democ­ra­cy, an ene­my of all that is good and right. You have no more right to set foot in my coun­try and pol­lute it’s soil than any invad­er from a for­eign dic­ta­tor­ship. You are also my per­son­al ene­my. I will fight against your per­fid­i­ous evil until my last dying breath.
